How do you obtain a bartending license?

take a bartending class. search the yellow pages for the closest one to you. i doubt you could make a career in bartending but you could def make a lot of money.
When we think of the term ‘bartender’ it’s fairly understandable that the first thing that comes into our heads is the everyday local bar. However, if you’re looking to find a full or part time job selling drinks, there are a couple of other places you should consider that offer a similar salary.
The main rival to normal bars is nightclubs. The environment in a club can be totally different to a bar. It’s darker, louder and there’s a lot more people. This means you’re normally swept off your feet and have to become an expert in doing several different things at once. The good news is you’re unlikely to get bored. Due to the loud music you lose a lot of the ‘social’ attitude that many people who work in pubs enjoy.
The size of the crowd also plays a crucial factor. You won’t get to ‘know’ any regulars, but you also won’t have to deal with many specialist orders. Most clubs tend to have a simpler drinks list than an average bar and often people just want something quick and easy. The clientele can also present a different challenge. Younger people are more likely to be drunk and abusive but at the same time, they won’t be quite so bothered by having to wait in queue for a long time. Depending on where you work, the constant stream of customers can make for much larger amounts of tips.
You could also considering working in a national or regional bar chain. Although it might not seem like it from the perspective of a customer, working in a chain or franchise can also be quite different from working in a local bar. Franchises often pay better and offer more transparent promotion. They are also more likely to provide better training and staff bonuses such as discounts simply because they have the commercial ability to afford such offers.
However, similar to a nightclub a chain is more likely to attract passers-by and casual visitors rather than ‘regulars’. The better you know someone the more likely they are to tip you, so this can be unfortunate. There are also more rules when it comes to chains. You might find it more difficult to gain experience in a range of different areas compared to a small bar where you might be expected to do a variety of different tasks.
All types of work are likely to advertise both locally in papers and bulletin boards and online via websites specifically targeted at the bartending or hospitalities industries.
