Bartending Supplies

I’m starting a new bartending job for a catering company. In terms of general “formal” catering, what type of drink recipes do yall think I should concentrate on studying? It’s been awhile since I’ve bartended.

martini, slushies, and fruit drinksss

Basic martini’s, rum and cokes. Other than that you should have a book handy for more exotic drinks. Check out this website for other recipes.

make sure you know your martinis!! and any popular drinks like alabama slammer, sex on the beach, 007, bourbon.. and generic drinks

As a former caterer, stick with the basics…screwdriver, rum-n- coke, whiskey sour, martini, etc….no one will expect you to make a pitcher of kamakazes or blue hawaiis.

It depends on the crowd but go for the classics like Martini’s and screwdrivers. Get a bartending book to keep with you. I like the New York times one my self

You should buy the book Playboy: Bartender’s Guide. Its great and they teach you the really hot stuff.

Flavored Martini drinks are popular, cranberry, raspberry and chocolate are in front. If you aren’t sure, you can always make a customer feel important by asking them what is involved. I prefer a tall bouron and water. Best wishes

Basic stuff for weddings. Generally you will get rum and cokes, gin and tonics, Manhattans, lots of wine and beer, and some martinis. Brush up on your lingo, dry, dirty, perfect, up.

I had a bartender at a wedding have me make a long island for a guest because they didn’t know how. It was kinda funny.

Don’t fret about it too much. There are millions of drinks and lots of them are regional. There will always be someone asking for something that you have never heard of. Just ask if they know what goes in it.

Chances are your service will have a book with their own recipes so be sure to look that over. Chances are the worn pages/cards are the ones that get sold the most.

when you learn how to ride a bicycle stay with you forever!
Same as be a bartender or cocktails bartender.
If you have a good knowledge you just need to start again ,only practise will make you a better bartender

as long as you know you’re margaritas, different rum drinks are really popular in my area and you can manage to make a descent cosmo, and off corse the king off all cocktail’s,dry martini you’ll be fine.good luck with the new job!!:)
