Bartending is a business so I have no idea what made your friends think you don&#039;t need a resume at all. Respectable bars/clubs are going to want respectable bartenders. That means a resume.
And again it&#039;s a business you NEVER lie on your resume, that really will come back to bite you in the a*s. In the age of the internet it is easier than ever to check up on these types of things and people do check up on these things. Take a look at how you present yourself, bartending is very much a people person type of job. Are you sending your resume by fax or over the internet? Try delivering it in person instead. Are you dressed nicely when you inquire about a job opening? or do you look like you just walked off the street?</description>
