No, it is ver hard to get a bartending job becasue is has good pay (tips). Going to bartending school does not help you get high profile (high tipping) bartending gigs like those in nightclubs. Your best bet is to know somebody and start as a waitress or bar back if you can and kind of nudge your way in there. Going to school will make you more knowledgeable on how to mix drinks but their job placement will usually land you at a low volume (low tips) job like at a hotel or restaurant or even worse… catering.

Good Luck.

No I have found that its not easy to find a job employers are looking for experience… and it may take some time and you must be very knowledgeable…

You HAVE to go to bartending school to be a bartender. My brother went to the school and it’s paying off. Well, he’s making minimum wage, but he makes tips, too. But his first job was in this cute little cafe place w/ a tiny bar, not like some huge hoppin LA bar that would be insane as a first job.

SO….yes, you can get a job right out of bartending school-it just probably has to be like a smaller place. Then get some experience after working there a few months, quit, and go somewhere wher eyou can make some SERIOUS money.

It worked for my bro-it can work for yoU! :p

Bartending school will hurt your chances of getting a job.
The bartender can make or break the house so if you have no actual work experience they just can’t use you
No good bar hires a bartender anyway. They hire bar-backs and promote the ones with promise.
You might get a job at a chain, but the tips won’t be good and service wage is too little to live on.
You can make a ton of money if your good and you work in the right bar.
Best way to learn is to get a job as a back and work your way up. If hauling kegs isn’t your bag, some places will train waitstaff too.

Bartending school is a waste of time and money.
