Is it harder to get a job bartending only on weekdays?
I’m going to start applying for part time bartending jobs but I go to school during the week (daytime) and already work a different job weekend nights. Is it common for some bartenders to only work weekday nights? Can anyone with industry experience tell my if people worked this specific shift at the bars they worked at? Is anyone here a bar manager who could tell me if this severely hurts my chances of getting a job? I’m hoping places have openings during the week because every one else wants the busy more profitable weekend shifts.

Week days positions are often the hardest to fill in bars. Things are slower, so there’ll be less tips. And the week end bartenders (the really good ones) generally have regular jobs.
