Bartending Education
I WANT TO O TO SCHOOL BUT HAVE NO MONEY SAVE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Heres the facts……..
1. Ok, so I want to go to school and have no money saved for it.
2. My parents will not pay for it or will help me.
3. yes I could possibly get financial aid for it but I don’t think financial aid will cover the whole schooling though.
4. As of right now I have no money and am unemployed and have been for a while.
5. The school I want to o to is FIDM (Fashion institute of Design & Merchandising)
6. Those of you thinking that this is not a real college do your research. you learn intensively your arts major in the fashion industry but also your core general education as well.
7. The school has a career program to where you could work for the school or they could help you find work. i just got certified in bartending so i could do that as well.
8. I have a loan already out for an online college class i took with The University of Phoenix.
WHAT SHOULD I DO PEOPLE? I NEED HELP ON FIGURING THIS OUT! PLEASE DON’T SAY ET A JOB, I KNOW THIS.
You can find a job and save some money. You can then have enough money to begin your school together with the financial aides. Schools also often give jobs to those in need. You can continue working while in school./
No patch of ground in the world claims as proud a drinking tradition as the Emerald Isle. The Irish have pubs down to an art, along with a complete mastery of the science of brewing and distilling the tastiest beverages on the planet. If you don’t believe in Leprechauns, you probably haven’t sampled enough Eyre ales and spirits or, if you have, you have not done so in a real Irish pub.
How do you know that you’ve found a keeper when it comes to drinking spots that capture the true magic and beauty of Ireland?
Here is a checklist:
- The bartender speaks with a brogue and is also the proprietor
- There are regular customers, at least a couple of whom speak with a brogue
- The regulars always sit on the same bar stools, sometimes even carving their initials into the bar with the full blessing of management
- They have a certain ale on tap (I’m not allowed to mention brands, but it starts with “G”) and pour it patiently, sometimes drawing a shamrock on the foam before serving. If your “Irish pub” does not have this ale on tap, get the heck out of there — it’s some kind of English trap.
- They have live music at least once in a while, preferably patrons bursting into song. Hey, you know what Scotland Yard used to say about the Irish back in the bad old IRA days, “You can torture an Irishman all night and he won’t talk, but he’ll sing at the drop of a hat.”
- The mood of the place can be positively morose sometimes. This is the true test of authenticity. Ireland has a long history of suffering, which explains their cultural affinity for drinking and singing.
- The biggest day of the year is St. Patrick’s Day, and you can hear the celebration from the pub from a block away.
If you hit five out of those seven points, you can drink with the confidence that your experience is an authentic one. You have found a real Irish pub.
Top o’ the mornin’ to ya’!
