Anybody have any experience with the National Association of Bartenders?
I’m interested in getting a bar tending job, but don’t want to pay for bartending school. There was an ad in my local school paper for the National Association of Bartenders out of Rahway, NJ which provides free training and placement at bartending jobs, but charges about $350 for books and a bartending license. I want to make sure this place is legit, before I give them any money. Has anybody heard of this place? According to their brochure they also have locations in Florida and California. Thanks!

take that $350, spend $10 on a good cocktail book, and spend the rest on stocking your own bar… then you get something out of it
licenses are a joke… spend some time, learn the basic drinks, thats all you need to know to get a job at a normal bar.
