I was looking for a shaker that doesn’t get so cold on the outside. This is exactly what I was looking for. The flip-top strainer is also a nice addition.

As a pseudo-bartender, I was looking for something a little different for Christmas this year. I have all sorts of mixing tins and glass shakers around the house, so I wanted something a little different. At first glance, I thought that this would be a killer shaker. It looked pretty sweet and the idea was cool, so I added it to my Wish List. My girlfriend got it for me for Christmas and I was very excited.
Well… I took it out of the package, cleaned it out and started to make a round of drinks. I added the ingredients and sealed the top as instructed. As soon as I started shaking, it leaked all over my countertop. I made sure that the top was sealed (it was) and that I didn’t miss any instructions (I didn’t). As much as I was really wanting to love this shaker, I’m sending it back tomorrow.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a bartender, fraternity guy, drunken uncle or whatever, I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid this shaker. No one likes having their drinks splashed on them and I’m sure somebody will call “alcohol abuse.” (For the record, calling “alcohol abuse” isn’t cool or funny. It usually means you have no taste for the drink and/or you live by yourself.)

Easy to mix, no messy tops to hold on while shaking. It is a little tough to clean easily, as lemon/lime pulp gets stuck in the strainer.
