I picked this up while holiday shopping at Sur La Table. What a disappointment. If I could find my receipt, I’d definitely return it. Here’s why: 1) It doesn’t work as a stopper. After just the second use, it would leak from the sides WHILE POURING. The circumference is simply too small (and I’ve tried a variety of wine bottles) and the material it’s made of is too hard and not malleable enough. 2) It doesn’t work as a pourer. If it wasn’t leaking so much from the sides, you may notice that it’s also leaking from the hinged parts where the lever action is. The only good thing I CAN say about it is that it didn’t drip from the lip of the pourer and it only cost ten bucks. Now I see why. If it worked as promised, it would be a sensational product and I would probably pay twice this amount for it, because the idea is great. But, it fails miserably on all counts.

I use this pourer/stopper for dispensing olive oil, not wine, and love the control it gives me. It fits nicely into the opening of a cleaned out, dark glass beer bottle. The bottles area easily replaced and the spout itself is very easy to clean. I’ve also purchased the newer OXO oil pourer/stopper but I haven’t used it yet.

This product not only is a stopper for the wine, it lets you pour without having to remove the stopper. Great innovation.

Rather disappointing for an Oxo product. It is attractive, but as a pourer, it is slow and as a stopper, it does not seal well enough to lay the bottle down. I will keep looking for the “Perfect” stopper-pourer. This one isn’t it!
